Girls Lacrosse Receives OHSGLCA Region Honors

The Ohio High School Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association announced their Region 8 honors. Congratulations to Kearston Jackson, Riya Jain, Roxy Sorensen, and Sophia Wilhelm on being recognized for their individual performances during the lacrosse season.

Kearston received 1st Team honors at the midfield position. She finished her senior season with 45 goals, 16 assists, 17 ground balls, 105 draw controls, and 5 caused turnovers.

Riya was named 2nd Team at the midfield position. The junior scored 39 goals, 9 assists, 34 ground balls, 40 draw controls, and 19 caused turnovers this season.

Also receiving 2nd Team honors was Roxy Sorensen and Sophia Wilhelm.

Roxy scored 38 goals and 20 assists from the attacking position. The junior finished the season with 21 ground balls, 10 draw controls, and 2 caused turnovers.

Sophia was a force on the defensive end all season for the Cowboys. She finished her junior year with 3 interceptions, 21 ground balls, 3 draw controls, and 8 caused turnovers.
