We are thrilled to announce the exceptional achievements of our student athletes who have been recognized for their outstanding performance during the boys lacrosse season.
Gabe Scruggs has earned the prestigious honor of being selected for the First Team All-Region and has also received Honorable Mention All-State honors. Gabe finished the season with 46 goals and 18 assists.
Jackson Palermo was named to the First Team All-Region team and has achieved the significant honor of making the Third Team All-State. Jackson finished the season with 210 saves.
Thatcher Kearns has been recognized with a place on the Second Team All-Region team. He finished the season with 39 caused turnovers to lead the Wyoming defense. Seth Isreal was also named Second Team All-Region. He finished the season with 96 draw controls.
The Cowboys finished the 2024 season with a 12-6 overall record.
The Wyoming Girls Lacrosse team had an exceptional season, marked by individual accolades that highlight the talent and dedication of its players. We are proud to recognize the following athletes for their outstanding achievements on the field.
All-Region and All-State Honors:
Riya Jain and Ella Hummel both earned first team All-Region and All-State honors for their impressive performances.
- Riya netted an incredible 63 goals this season, solidifying her legacy as Wyoming's all-time scoring leader with a career total of 140 goals.
- Ella led Region 8 with 51 ground balls, ranking 26th in Division II and 43rd in Ohio.
Second Team All-Region Honors:
- Roxy Sorensen and Abby Ranz received second team All-Region honors, each demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship. Roxy finished the season with 51 goals, surpassing the 100 career goal mark. Her scoring ability and on-field intelligence earned her the prestigious Southern Ohio Jackie Pitts Award by USA Lacrosse.
- Abby was first in Region 8 with 47 assists. She also topped Division II and finished second in the state for assists. She finished the season ranked 73rd in the nation in assists.
Honorable Mention:
Katherine Rutherford and Ryann Knepp received honorable mentions for their contributions throughout the season.

Katherine scored 28 goals and recorded 50 draw controls.

Ryann scored 17 goals and added 14 assists, showing great promise and establishing herself as a future star for the team.
Career Save Marks:
In goal, Ainsley Benken saved her 300th shot during the season, and finished her career with 351 career saves. Keaton Lazarus saved her 100th shot this season. She currently has 107 career saves.
Wyoming finished the season with a 11-9 overall record, and 7-4 mark in Region 8 competition.
