The Wyoming Cowboys boys soccer team battled back from a first-half deficit to defeat Bishop Fenwick 3-1 in the District Semi-Finals on Tuesday, October 21st, at Wyoming High School.
Trailing 1-0, the Cowboys scored in the first two minutes of the second half. Caleb Kahn delivered a perfect pass to Eli Yunker, who buried the shot to tie the game at 1-1 and swing momentum in Wyoming's favor.
Henry Walker netted the go-ahead goal off another strong assist from Kahn, giving the Cowboys a 2-1 lead. The scoring was capped by Everett Johnson, who found the back of the net after a brilliant long pass from goalkeeper Rocco Fischer.
With the 3-1 victory, Wyoming advances to the District Finals, where they will face Alter on Saturday at Middletown High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
