Boys Basketball Defeats Summit 57-32 in Season Opener

The Wyoming Cowboys defeated Summit Country Day 57-32 on Saturday in the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic at Mason Middle School.

Wyoming came out locked in from the opening tip, setting the tone early with a physical, disruptive defense, and an efficient offense powered by timely ball movement. The Cowboys built a 14-9 edge through the first quarter. Wyoming's defense limited the Silver Knights to 0 points in the second quarter.

Senior guard Kellen Wiley scored a game-high 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor. Darren Gray was equally electric, adding 15 points while stuffing the stat sheet with 6 steals and 5 assists. Gray pressured passing lanes, ignited transition, and turned defense into offense to help the Cowboys pull away in the second half.
