Wyoming Swimming Results from Saturday

The Wyoming High School swim team hosted Lakota East, Lakota West, Ursuline, and St. Xavier on Saturday, December 13th at PCY. The girls team scored 154 points to finish in second place, and the boys team placed third with 136 total points. 

The Cowboys opened the meet in impressive fashion, capturing first place in the 200 Medley Relay. The relay team of Willow Adams, Amelia Auger, Kate Chrapliwy, and Kayla Fent touched the wall in 1:59.77.

Amelia Auger won in the 200 Individual Medley with a winning time of 2:20.06, and finished in third place in the 100 Freestyle (0:58.62). Kate Chrapliwy won the 100 Butterfly in 1:04.16, and placed second in the 200 IM.

Wyoming continued its success in the sprint events as Adams placed second in the 50 Freestyle (0:25.91), and second in the 100 Backstroke (1:06.70). Lucy Ihnen added a second place finish in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:24.48.

The Cowboys picked up another first place finish in the 200 Freestyle Relay, as Chrapliwy, Emma Gozal, Auger, and Adams combined for a first-place time of 1:49.62.

On the boys side, Jake Calvert led the Cowboys with a pair of top finishes. He won the 100 Freestyle (49.75), and placed second in the 200 Freestyle (1:54.81). Noah Fent finished in third place in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 0:51.10, and placed second in the 50 Freestyle (22.36). 

Willem Hogenesch finished in second place in the 200 IM (2:07.39) and second place in the 100 Breaststroke (1:04.10). Joss Hogenesch added a third-place finish in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:07.61. The relay teams rounded the scoring efforts with the boys 200 Freestyle Relay (W. Hogenesch, J. Hogenesch, Chase Le, and Will Gorentz) placed second overall, and the 400 Freestyle Relay finished in third place.
