Wyoming Girls Soccer Opens Season with Second Half Surge in Win

The Wyoming girls soccer team started its regular season on a high note Monday night, defeating Northwest 5-0. After a scoreless first half, the Cowboys broke the game open with a dominant offensive performance in the second half, finishing with 28 total shots.

Freshman Mary Eagleston led the attack, scoring twice on just three shots. Olivia Hill and Ashlyn Rennegarbe also found the back of the net in the win.

On the defensive side of the field, the Cowboys stayed solid throughout the match. Senior goalkeeper Ginny Theobald anchored the shutout, making two saves to keep Northwest off the board.

Wyoming returns to the pitch on Thursday, August 21st at Monroe High School.
