The Wyoming Cowboys continued their strong start to the 2026 season with a 42-21 victory over Monroe on Friday, September 4, at Monroe High School. With the win, Wyoming improves to 3-0 on the season.
The Cowboys and Hornets traded touchdowns early, with Wyoming taking a 21-14 lead into halftime. Wyoming then erupted for 21 points in the second half to pull away and secure the 42-21 victory.
Quarterback David Dupee led the Wyoming offense, completing 14 of 18 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns. Jonas Whalen added a dominant performance on the ground, rushing 17 times for 160 yards and two touchdowns.
The Cowboys also found success through the air. Brylan Miltenberger hauled in five passes for 125 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown reception, while Donovan Brown caught seven passes for 69 yards and a touchdown. Drew Bocian contributed two receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown while also adding a rushing touchdown. Wyoming finished the night with 436 total yards, including 213 rushing yards and 223 passing yards. The Cowboys converted all three of their third-down attempts and went 1-for-1 on fourth down.
Defensively, Tyler Johnson-Huff led the Cowboys with 18 tackles, while Charlie Walker recorded 15 tackles. Brylan Miltenberger added two pass breakups as Wyoming held Monroe to 227 total yards.
Wyoming now turns its attention to Cincinnati Hills League play. The Cowboys travel to Indian Hill on Friday night for their next contest.
