Wyoming Swimming Wins Sectionals, Moves on to Districts

The Wyoming High School girls and boys swim team had a strong showing in sectional swimming action on Friday, February 7th and Saturday, February 8th. Both the girls and boys swim teams won their respective sectional sites. The girls team secured 538 total team points.

Individually, junior Ansley Neff won a pair of events. She won the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:56.46) and the 100 Yard Freestyle (0:53.01). Also winning an individual event was sophomore Esme Harness in the 200 Yard Individual Medley (2:14.48) and freshman Willow Adams in the 100 Yard Backstroke (0:59.97). 

In the girls relay events, Wyoming won both the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (Adams, Mbui, Harness, Neff) and the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (Adams, Harness, Mbui, and Neff).

On the boys side, the Cowboys recorded 460 total points. Joss Hogenesch had a pair of second place finishes in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 500 Yard Freestyle. Wyoming's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay of Hogenesch, Spera, Gorentz, and Fent won with a time of 1:31.32.
