Wyoming CHL Wrestling Championship

Wrestling finishes 4th at CHL Championships

The Wyoming Cowboys wrestling team competed at the CHL Championships on Saturday, February 21st at Reading High School. The Cowboys scored 169 total points, finishing fourth overall.

Luke Freund captured the CHL title at heavyweight. He also broke a school season record, scoring 280 points, the most in a single season.

Landon Woolsey captured the CHL title at 175 lb. weight class. Leo Beard finished as the league runner-up at the 150 lbs. weight class.

Several Wyoming wrestlers finished in third place. Congratulations to Louie Beard (120 lbs) and Brandon Luebbe (126 lbs).), Tristan Reed (138 lbs.), Brody Draper (190 lbs.),  and Jake Freund (215 lbs.).

Wyoming will now turn its focus toward the postseason as individual wrestlers prepare for the upcoming sectional tournament.
